I've got a list, man. I'm afraid of everything.

I am sure this goes for alot of people, but I'm afraid of puppets. Especially ventriloquist dummies, muppets, & marionettes. Sock puppets don't scare me & for some reason I can watch "The Dark Crystal" without a problem. But I'm terrified of Fraggles, The Muppets, those pink things from Labyrinth, & other things. I freeze when I see them & just fill with fear. Right now I've got goosebumps just thinking about it.

I can't watch Child's Play either, though that's more like a doll. I'm not scared of all dolls though... just ones that move & talk. They're spooky.

I'm afraid of masks that are supposed to look like people's faces. & not just those Presidential masks, ones that aren't made well, but are still supposed to be someone's face. Know what I mean?

& of course clowns... clown masks too.

Oh, this relates to the Child's Play thing... certain animation freaks me out. Like... is CGI the new Chuckie movies & that World Police movie? Whatever animation that is, I can't do it.

& there's another type of animation that I can't watch... I want to say Stop Motion, but I'm not certain that's it. I also want to call it Claymation but, NMBC is claymation & that doesn't bother me.

But they use clay alot in this animation & it's always freaky as Hell... anyone know what I'm talking about?

yeah... I hate pupets, ventroloquists dolls, dummies, statues, masks, DOLLS (all except rag dolls), and clowns.

but I like The Muppets, I love Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock and all of that. I can't really understand why they don't scare me, the probably should.

when I was like 9 years old, this doll came out (in 1986), it was called 'Cricket', and her little brother was 'Corky' and he was the model they base Chucky on. anyway, she was just like Chucky, she moved here eyes from side to side and had a tape recorder on her back and she'd TALK. it was a huge sensation, the best selling doll that x-mas (well, in Canada). anyway, JUST the comercial freaked me out! but, since my mom had already gotten mad at me for my 'absurd' fear of dolls, and she had already made me feel like there was something wrong with me, I tried to act all grown up, and I said opn timw while the comercial was on tv... "cool doll" and I guess I must've said it very convincingly, because like a week before Christmas, my brother and I were down in the base ment by the water heater looking to see if we might find the presents or something, when... there it was!... thast freakin' doll was standing right there in front of me! (Aaargh!) I almost passed out! but I had a whole week to 'practice' me 'cool' reaction infront of my parents.
that doll haunted me for like 8 years while it lived in my closet. I think my mom later gave it to one of my little cousins.

I'm not afraid of puppets/masks that are not human based. Any kind of puppet, doll, or mask that is modeled after humans scares the heck out of me and I cannot sleep in the same room with it. Muppets, stuffed animals, even masks that are based on creatures or human caricatures don't scare me. There was only one doll that didn't scare me and she was one of those light-up xmas angels that holds the candle and her head moves. I didn't completely trust her and she always made me a *bit* nervous, but I didn't FEAR her. But, once again, she wasn't fully human or just a human in a costume, she was an angel-though she was definitely human based and without the wings, she would've scared me.
